Instructor Bio

Aquarium Photography Techniques
Chris lives in Vancouver, British Columbia; close to the shore of the Pacific Ocean and a couple of miles from the Vancouver Aquarium.

He has been teaching specialized photography skills since 2002 both online and in a classroom/studio setting. He has earned a certificate in Adult Education from the Vancouver School Board.

Chris’ photography background includes producing commercial imagery for Food Manufacturers, Restaurants, Hotels, Resorts, Cruise Ships, and Tourist Attractions. His work has been used by organizations such as Hyatt, Disney, Carnival Cruise lines, Sutton Place Hotels, Vancouver Tourism, Seattle's Best Coffee and Expedia.com.

Currently, Chris is the Senior Aquarium Technician with an aquarium design & service company that maintains approximately 150 (fresh & salt-water) tanks ranging from a 20-gallon tropical freshwater aquarium to an 800-gallon reef environment.


Chris has won a number awards for his photographs of aquarium fish. He is also doing work with aquarium equipment manufacturers on product photography and with a number of local aquarium stores and wholesalers on livestock photography projects.
